really no surprise micapam. you have a good grip on the current state of music and how it’s shared. there’s (very little to) no money in music sales unless you’re a kanye or black eyed peas. music is more a means of promotion. and the blog that you link back to (mad decent) is a pioneering example of a thriving business (its label being one arm) that has not only re-written the rules but also taken the power away from the majors and the MTVs, precisely by initiatives such as free releases. anyways, as u said: “who cares, go grab the tunes!”
